Introduction of the concept of ecosystem services and methods for their evaluation. Application of the knowledge in the area of Eastern Ore Mountains.
The course is focused on the understanding of the anthropocentric value of nature and valuation techniques used to capture it. It consist of teaching, field research in the cross-border region of Eastern Ore Mountains and seminar paper development.
The course is organized in cooperation of the Faculty of Sciences UJEP and Hochschule Anhalt (Bernburg, Saxony). Czech students cooperate in bilateral teams with German colleagues. The teaching language is English.
