Project Objective:

Main objectives:

  1. an economic analysis of factors responsible for the recession in the Czech Republic in the late 90´s including an analysis of monetary policy,
  2. a critical analysis of the current economic policy including the monetary policy for sustaining growth in GDP and the rate of employment,
  3. a critical analysis of models for various institutions and the central bank, which simulates the influence of monetary policy on GDP – a proposal of an appropriate model for the Czech Republic case,
  4. proposing priorities in future economic policy and enactments, particularly the enactment of the Czech National Bank Act.
Brief Summary:
Analysis of monetary policy and causalities between the policy and the economic slump in the late nineties in the Czech Republic.
Outputs:
An economic analysis of the factors responsible for recession, an analysis of economic policy including the monetary policy for sustaining growth in GDP and employment in the late 90´s. A concept and priorities for future economic policy and a proposal for enactments.
