Ing. Jan Slavík, Ph.D.

Jan SlavíkJan Slavík graduated at the University of Economics in Prague, specialization Public Policy and Public Administration with the focus on Environmental Economics. His long-term interest is in environmental policy instruments and their application within the area of waste management. In 2005, he worked as a research fellow at FiFO Institute at the University of Cologne, Germany. In 2009, he finished his Ph.D. thesis focused on the evaluation of the effectiveness of packaging deposits in the Czech Republic. He has cooperated with IEEP since 2001. In 2008, he became a director for international relations. From 2007, he is also a member of the Department of Environmental Economics at University of Economics in Prague.
